BSP Managing Director Restituto Cruz explained the credit risk management guidelines for banks, as amended by BSP through Circular No. 855.

BSP Deputy Director Atty. Mel Georgie Racela answers questions from the participants on the new capitalization policy of the central bank. The new policy increased the capital requirement by as much as P200 million for rural banks.
To keep the event exciting, the RBAP raffled off giveaways such as mobile phones to lucky rural bankers.
RBAP President Jose Misael B. Moraleda handed a token of appreciation to BSP Deputy Governor Nestor A. Espenilla, Jr. for gracing and delivering the keynote speech for the event. Mr. Espenilla gladly engaged rural bankers in a question and answer portion after his talk.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Vittorio Z. Almario — Chairman of the Rural Bankers Research and Development Foundation, Inc. – said they shall develop more capacity building programs for rural bankers based on the results of the training needs analysis survey.
