Dear Fellow Rural Bankers:
The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP), through its technical arm, the Rural Bankers Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (RBRDFI), is pleased to announce that it will conduct the following seminar-workshop as part of its commitment to build and enhance the capacity of rural banks as effective delivery channels of microinsurance.


I. Course Title:            TRAINING ON EFFECTIVE MARKETING AND SELLING OF MICROINSURANCE

Venue:                      RBAP Conference Hall, Intramuros, Manila
Schedule:                  March 19, 2013 (Tuesday)

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Course Objective:

The 1-Day Training on Effective Marketing and Selling of Microinsurance aims to provide rural bank microinsurance agents the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to increase sales and renewals of microinsurance policies by increasing client understanding of the product. It is common knowledge among practitioners that insurance is sold, not bought. Marketing and selling of insurance must come with the goal of educating clients about the benefits they can derived from microinsurance. With proper product knowledge, rural banks would be able to increase understanding and acceptance of microinsurance as a necessary mechanism to protect the poor from risks.

Target participants to the Training on Marketing Microinsurance are the following:

Bank Heads/Managers, Marketing Staff/Officers, Training Officers, Microfinance Supervisors, Loans Officers/Supervisors, Account Officers

Registration Fee
1)    Early bird rate of One Thousand Nine Hundred Pesos only (Php 1,900.00) per participant if registration is made on or before March 08, 2013.
2)    Regular rate of Two Thousand Pesos (Php 2,000.00) will be charged per participant if registered after March 8, 2013.
