The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation held a technical working group meeting last 22 May 2013 to discuss the adoption of a Uniform Core Banking System (UCBS) for rural banks in the country. The UCBS is expected to upgrade and modernize the rural banking system.
Present in the meeting are RBAP VP for Visayas Mr. Enrique Abellana; RBAP Director Charles Hotchkiss; and RBAP Executive Director Vicente Mendoza.
