Dear Rural Bankers,
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, following the approved resolution of the Monetary Board, has issued a memorandum granting selected banks of temporary regulatory and rediscounting relief. These are banks with head offices (HOs) and/or branches/ extension offices (EOs)/ microfinance-oriented banking offices (MBOs) in the areas which were devastated by Typhoon “Ineng” based on Situation Report No. 23 dated 08 September 2015 of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
The said areas are as follows:
Region Areas
I Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan
II Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Nueva Vizcaya
III Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Zambales
IV-A Laguna
IV-B Oriental Mindoro
Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR) – Abra, Apayao, Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga and Mountain Province
