The Malarayat Rural Bank, Inc. (MRBI) has reached a milestone as it celebrated its 58th anniversary last March 26, 2014 at the bank’s head office in Lipa City, Batangas.
The event, attended by the bank’s Board of Directors and staff, opened with a Thanksgiving mass presided by Lipa Cathedral Parish Priest Msgr. Rafael “Boy” Oriondo.
Employees also prepared a simple program that was highlighted by the speech of MRBI President Constancio Pasia, where he recalled Malarayat’s rich history as a financial institution.
The MRBI was founded in 1956 by Dr. Jose R. Segismundo and Mrs. Emilia Segismundo. The bank now has eight branches scattered in Batangas, Laguna and Naga City.
