SUBJECT : MABSTERS Training Workshop
We wish to invite you to the MABSTERS Training Workshop on August 28-30,
2012 at the Gov. Licaros Hall, RBAP Bldg., Intramuros, Manila.
Continuous training for the staff of the microfinance unit is an essential
element in ensuring the efficiency, competitiveness, profitability and
sustainability of a bank’s microfinance operation. In keeping with the
thrust to provide its participating banks with the capability to conduct
in-house training on basic microfinance knowledge and skills for the MFU
staff, the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) –
Microenterprise Access to Banking Services (MABS) program is again
accepting nomination for new MABS technical resource specialists
(MABSTeRS). Nominees for the MABSTeRS must meet the
criteria/qualifications specified below:
1. Senior Account Officer or higher (e.g., MF Supervisors , MF Product
Managers, Senior Officers involved in MF operations)
2. With at least one (1) year experience and/or involvement in the bank’s
microfinance operations
3. Has attended the MABS Account Officers Training Course and/or the MABS
Approach to Microfinance Training and Technical Services (MATTS)
4. Preferably, those who possess adequate presentation and communication
skills
RBAPMABS reserves the right to screen participants and will select only
the top 20 candidates that will undergo the training-workshop. The
training-workshop will prepare the candidates to become resource
speakers/facilitators on the MABS Basic Microfinance Course in their
respective banks. In addition, the training-workshop will also provide the
participants with a walk-through and hands-on experience using the MABS
Distance Learning Training Module.
For interest, kindly submit the accomplished confirmation of your
candidates on or before August 22, 2012.
Registration Fee:
a) Reduced Fee Ph 3,000.00 each on or before August 17, 2012
b) Regular Fee Ph 4,000.00 each right after August 17, 2012
Note that the MABSTeRS training - workshop is partially subsidized by the
RBAP-MABS Program since the registration fee is enough to cover only the
expenses for the participants meals, training venue and materials.
Payment of the registration fee must be deposited to the Rural Bankers
Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (RBRDFI) Savings Account
(SA#0012-1046-26) with Land Bank of the Philippines – Intramuros Branch.
Registration of participants will be confirmed upon our receipt of the
deposit slip which you can fax to _____________.
