RE: Donation for Typhoon Yolanda victims

Dear Fellow Rural Bankers:

As we all well know now, Typhoon Yolanda, recorded as the strongest typhoon ever in history, cut across a large swath of provinces in the central Philippines, from Samar to Palawan. This unprecedented devastation ruined countless communities including the rural banks in the affected areas.

In the meeting with the Federation and Confederation presidents, and the Board of RBAP on November 11, 2013, we decided to help our affected fellow rural bankers by way of donations from the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP), Rural Bankers Research and Development Foundation Inc. (RBRDFI), and our member banks. In the same meeting, both RBAP and RBRDFI are providing P500,000 each as seed fund, which was used to open our donation account with the Landbank of the Philippines. We encourage as much participation as possible. Kindly course your cash or check donation in a deposit to the account of RBAP at the :

Land Bank of the Philippines
Checking Account No. 0012-1180-82

Note that Landbank has written RBAP that they will no longer charge rural banks for interbranch deposits to the Landbank account of RBAP. Once made, kindly email ([email protected]) or fax (02-527-2980) a copy of your deposit slip to the RBAP Secretariat.

We look forward to everyone’s support and cooperation in helping our fellow rural bankers and their respective staff regain their livelihoods.

Sincerely,

VITTORIO Z. ALMARIO
President
