2012 Annual Management Conference by Central Luzon Confederation

This is to notify all concerned RBs that the Confederation of Central Luzon Rural Banks, Inc. will hold its 2012 Annual Management Conference at the Holiday Inn Clark, Mimosa Drive, Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles City, Pampanga on February 28 and 29, 2011.

The Conference theme is: “Rural Banks – Pillar of Strong Economy: Bracing for Global Challenges” that affirms the significant economic role of rural banks. Notwithstanding the relative smallness or insignificance of each rural bank, all rural banks, including the smallest, contribute in a big way to the success of the national economy. In this conference, invited speakers shall discuss how RBs can achieve operational success amidst the emergence of significant global changes which have an impact in the rural banking business, such as the increasing remittance services, ATM and POS, mobile and internet banking, social media, and cloud computing. While these global changes have been ignored by the rural banking industry in the past, it is imperative that RBs embrace these changes and adapt to them as they inevitably affect our business, service and clients. Thus, this conference promises to be a truly beneficial experience for rural bankers.
